 Miller Starr Regalia Shareholder Dana Tsubota Recognized As Emerging Leader

Walnut Creek, Calif., (October 25, 2011) – Miller Starr Regalia announced today that shareholder Dana Tsubota has been named as an Emerging Leader in Commercial Real Estate by the East Bay Chapter of Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) at their inaugural ECHO Awards event on October 20, 2011.   East Bay CREW is a member of Commercial Real Estate Women's network of 74 chapters, totaling 8,000 members in the United States and Canada.  East Bay CREW's mission is to promote the success of and opportunities for women in the Commercial Real Estate industry.  The ECHO Awards were developed as a way of celebrating the contributions of women to the Commercial Real Estate industry at-large in our East Bay community the “Emerging Leader in Commercial Real Estate” award was designed to recognize a woman with an increasingly significant contribution to the field of commercial real estate, demonstrated leadership in her field and in the community, a commitment to a balanced life in and outside of work, and demonstrated support of other women in the community through mentorship.

Ms. Tsubota is a shareholder with the law firm of Miller Starr Regalia.  She provides expert representation to business entities in a wide range of litigation matters.  Ms. Tsubota has successfully handled complex cases involving construction, development, title disputes, commercial leasing and landlord/tenant disputes, lender liability and related business issues.  Her clients include developers, homebuilders, financial institutions, title insurance companies, and corporations. 

Ms Tsubota currently serves as the President of the Building Industry Association of the Bay Area’s (BIABA) Professional Women in Building Council.  She is a BIABA New Gen Leader, and a member of the BIABA Board of Directors.  She is a member of the HomeAid Board of Directors, and the President of the East Bay Chapter of California Women Lead.  She is an active member of East Bay CREW (Commercial Real Estate Women) , having served as the Chair of its Program’s Committee in 2009.  She is also a member of ICSC.
