Adam Starr is a litigation associate in our Walnut Creek office. His practice encompasses general commercial litigation and he frequently deals with issues involving title insurance, eminent domain, construction disputes and mechanic’s liens. Adam has extensive law and motion practice experience and has actively participated in numerous successful mediations and settlement negotiations. He has litigated issues concerning easements, purchase and sale agreements, unfair business practices, partnership agreements, bad faith, and commercial contracts.
Adam volunteers with the Tenants’ Rights Clinic in Contra Costa County, and is an active member of the Eviction Defense Collaborative in San Francisco. He has also teamed with Bay Area Legal Aid to provide pro bono legal services ranging from administrative appeals to landlord-tenant disputes.
Adam is an articles editor for the California Real Property Journal.
EDUCATION
Adam received his J.D., from the University of California Los Angeles School Of Law in 2006. He earned his bachelor’s degree in art history and psychology from Duke University in 2001.
While in law school, Adam interned at the Department of Justice, Office of the Trustee, and externed for U.S. District Court Judge Robert Takasugi in Los Angeles. Prior to joining Miller Starr Regalia, Adam was a kindergarten teacher for the Oakland Unified School District.
