Miller Starr Regalia

Bruce Laidlaw is a litigation shareholder in Miller Starr Regalia’s Palo Alto office with over 30 years of experience.  He represents clients in litigation, arbitration and mediation proceedings that involve real estate, employment and commercial business disputes.  His real estate practice includes resolution of disputes arising from construction projects, land use, commercial leases, and purchase and sale transactions.  Bruce also has a background litigating employment matters involving claims of discrimination, unfair competition, wrongful termination and wage and hour violations.

Bruce joined Miller Starr Regalia after spending 18 years as a partner at Landels, Ripley & Diamond in San Francisco, where he developed expertise in real estate, environmental and employment litigation.  He also served as Chair of the Business Litigation Department and as a member of the firm’s Management Committee.  He was also actively involved in associate hiring and in pro bono matters. 

EDUCATION
Bruce received a J.D. from Stanford University in 1975.  He also completed a Bachelor’s Degree at Stanford in 1970, where he was named an Alfred P. Sloan Scholar and elected Phi Beta Kappa.
