Dana is a shareholder in Miller Starr Regalia’s Walnut Creek office. Dana has expertise in both state and federal court. Her practice focuses on commercial litigation in the areas of:
- Title insurance, including lender/mortgagee title and insurance coverage disputes, escrow fraud and negligence claims, land use disputes, and lender priority claims.
- Business and commercial litigation, including purchase and sale disputes, option agreement disputes, development agreements, easement and boundary line disputes, trespass and nuisance claims.
- Real estate litigation, including quiet title actions.
- Financial services litigation, including representation of lenders in defense of their claims to title free and clear of liens and encumbrances, and other disputes over real property assets.
- Construction litigation, including performance of construction contracts, defense of mechanic’s lien and stop notice actions, and bond claims.
- Commercial leasing and landlord-tenant litigation, including breach of lease and unlawful detainer disputes.
She represents real property developers and lenders, title insurers, homeowners associations, individual homeowners and real estate investors.

EDUCATION
Dana received a J.D. from the University of San Francisco School of Law in 2002. During her tenure at USF, she won CALI awards in both Land Use Law and Construction Law, and appeared in “Who's Who in American Law Schools," 2002 Edition.
ASSOCIATIONS
Dana is the President of the Building Industry Association of the Bay Area’s (BIABA) Professional Women in Building Council, a council that just won the large council of the year award from the National Association of Home Builders. She is a BIABA New Gen Leader, and a member of the BIABA Board of Directors. Dana also sits as the Political Action liaison for CBIA’s Professional Women in Building. She is a member of the HomeAid Board of Directors, and the President of the East Bay Chapter of California Women Lead. Dana recently served as the Urban Land Institute's Chair of the East Bay Programs Committee, and remains a committee member. She is an active member of East Bay CREW (Commercial Real Estate Women) and recently finished a term as the Chair of its Program’s Committee. She is also a member of ICSC.
AWARDS
In 2008, Dana received the Rising Star Award from the BIA’s Professional Women in Building Council. She received the Council’s President’s Award the following year. In 2010 she received the BIA’s Associate of the Year Award. She was named as a 2011 “Rising Starr” at the Northern California Real Estate Women of Influence awards ceremony. In October of 2011, she received East Bay CREW’s Emerging Leader ECHO Award.
