Ella Gower is a litigation associate in Miller Starr Regalia's Walnut Creek office. Ella represents title insurance companies, financial institutions, and other corporate clients in actions that include title insurance and escrow claims, bad faith litigation, unfair business practices, and other general corporate matters. Ella also represents title insurers and agents in regulatory matters nationwide.
Prior to joining Miller Starr Regalia, Ella served as a Law Clerk for the Office of Yolo County District Attorney and the AIDS Legal Referral Panel. She has also served as a teaching assistant for the Political Science and History Departments at U.C. Davis.
Prior to attending law school, Ella was a Special Assistant to Governor Gray Davis for four years. As a Special Assistant, she helped build and maintain relationships between the Governor, his staff and the people of California. Ella wrote and managed all personal correspondence for the Governor, and facilitated policy calls between the Governor and key individuals. Ella also provided staff support for the Governor at various events throughout the state.
Ella also interned for the United States Department of State in Moscow, Russia.

EDUCATION
While receiving a J.D. from the University of California, Davis School of Law, Ella distinguished herself by serving as Editor in Chief of the Journal of International Law and Policy. She also served on the Trial Practice Honors Board and the Moot Court Board, placing first at the California Traynor Moot Court Competition.
In 2002, Ella received a bachelor's degree in political science-public service and history from the University of California, Davis.
ASSOCIATIONS
Ella is a member of the American Land Title Association, where she serves on the Title Counsel Committee. She is also a member of the California Land Title Association, where she has been involved in presenting educational seminars. She is currently Vice President of the California Women Lead-East Bay Chapter. Additional memberships include the Contra Costa Bar Association and the American Bar Association.

Ella is Special Olympics coach and volunteers regularly as a judge for mock trial. She also enjoys playing softball and volleyball.
