Robin Kennedyis a transactional and land use shareholder in Miller Starr Regalia’s Palo Alto Office. While her practice includes skilled representation in a broad range of real estate and land use matters, she has specialized experience serving institutional clients involved in public/private partnerships — particularly in the context of infrastructure development.
In representing clients like Stanford University, NASA, the National Park Service and California State University, Robin negotiates and drafts ground leases, commercial leases and financing documents for office, commercial, residential, R&D, retail and institutional properties. She also guides both buyers and sellers through commercial, industrial and residential real estate transactions. Her expertise extends to escrow, title matters and boundary disputes, financing, brokerage, subdivision development, due diligence, construction and architectural contracts, and alternative dispute resolution through mediation. She has significant expertise in the area of negotiating clean-up and remediation agreements with third parties, including with the Department of Defense.
Prior to Joining Miller Starr Regalia, Robin’s legal experience included work as associate university counsel for Stanford University, a solo real estate transactional practitioner, planning associate for the City of Los Angelesand a partner with Manatt Phelps & Phillips.

EDUCATION
Robin received a J.D. from the Stanford University Law School in 1978, a M.A. in political science from the University of California, Berkeley, and a bachelor’s degree in political science, with great distinction, from Stanford University. As an undergraduate, she was on the Dean’s List for four years and elected a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
ASSOCIATIONS
Robinis a member of the Urban Land Institute, the Jewish Community Federation Capital Planning Committee and Stanford Associates. She also serves on the board of TheatreWorks in Palo Alto, a member of the Board of Directors of Smuin Ballet in San Francisco and as a spiritual care volunteer at Stanford Hospital. She is president emerita of the board of directors of Hillel’s Stanford Chapter. She has been voted a Northern California Super Lawyer for 5 of the past 6 years. In 2009, she was named as one of 35 Northern California Women of Influence in Real Estate.
