Robin Pearson is senior counsel in Miller Starr Regalia’s Walnut Creek office. Her practice consists of business, commercial and real estate litigation in state and federal courts, with an emphasis on disputes involving title insurance, commercial landlord/tenant relationships, insurance coverage, breach of contract, quiet title actions, foreclosures, and the purchase and sale of property. 

She is admitted to practice before all of the state and federal courts in California as well as the United States Supreme Court.

In 2008, Robin became the first African American and the fifth woman to serve as president of the Contra Costa County Bar Association. She has actively promoted diversity in the legal profession and fairness in the courtroom by serving over ten years combined as chair of the Bar Association’s diversity committee, co-chair of Miller Starr Regalia’s diversity committee, and as a member of the bench/bar’s joint Committee on Bias. 

Additionally, Robin is a past president of both the Women's Section of the Contra Costa Bar Association and the State Bar of California's Committee on Women in the Law. Since 2000, she has been a member of the American Inns of Court, a group of local attorneys and judges whose goal is to improve the skills, professionalism and ethics of the bench and the bar. She is also a member of the Homebuilders Association of Northern California and CREW (Commercial Real Estate Women).  

Robin is active in various community affairs. Since 1995, she has been a board member of Family Support Services of the Bay Area, a charity that keeps families intact by providing support to the parents and caregivers of vulnerable and special needs children.

Education
Robin received a J.D. in 1989 from Boston College Law School, where she earned the William J. O'Keefe Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Law School and was a member of the National Moot Court Team. She received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia in 1985.
