Miller Starr Regalia (MSR), a preeminent California real estate law firm for more than 50 years, announced today that Arielle O. Harris, who has over a decade of experience in land use, environmental, and natural resources law and litigation, is joining the firm’s Land Use Department as a shareholder. Prior to joining MSR, Harris was a land use and natural resource partner in the San Francisco office of Downey Brand LLP.
Harris represents developers, landowners, and public agencies in connection with obtaining and defending land use entitlements, environmental review, as well as state and federal permitting for a wide range of projects including mixed-use and master planned developments, commercial development, renewable energy, and public infrastructure. She also regularly defends entitlements against lawsuits brought under the California Environmental Quality Act.
“Arielle is a highly regarded land use and natural resources attorney who guides clients through all stages of project planning, from early due diligence, through environmental review, and in obtaining entitlements," said Ella K. Gower, Miller Starr Regalia's managing shareholder. “Her experience with mixed use development, public infrastructure, and water projects will greatly enhance MSR's hallmark land use practice.”
“I am thrilled that Arielle has joined the land use team at MSR. Her knowledge and experience further strengthens the firm’s already thriving, premier Land Use Department,” said Nadia Costa, co-chair of the Land Use Department.
Harris received her B.A. from the University of Michigan and her J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law. She is on the Executive Committee of the San Francisco Bar’s Environmental Law Section, and a member of the California Building Industry Association and Bay Planning Coalition.
“I am excited to be joining MSR and look forward to contributing to the breadth and depth of expertise in the firm’s Land Use Department,” said Harris.
