Giselle is a shareholder and a member of Miller Starr Regalia’s Litigation and Land Use Practice Groups. Her practice focuses on business and real estate litigation, as well as land use entitlement matters. She has represented private and public sector clients in state and federal courts and has also negotiated cases to settlement.

Biography

Giselle Roohparvar is a shareholder in Miller Starr Regalia's San Francisco office. She is a member of the firm’s Litigation Group, focusing her practice on a broad range of business and commercial landlord-tenant disputes. She has represented developers, investment funds, financial and educational institutions, government entities, startups, and corporate entities. She has successfully negotiated numerous cases to settlement, as well as tried them to verdict in both state and federal courts. 

Giselle is also a member of the firm’s Land Use Practice Group, focusing her practice on land use and local government matters. She specializes in the processing and implementation of land use entitlements. 

Giselle presently serves as Planning Commissioner on the City of Palo Alto’s Planning and Transportation Commission. Giselle also serves on the Executive Committee for the Real Property Law Section of the California Lawyers Association. 

Prior to entering law, Giselle worked in investment banking and wealth management. In her free time, Giselle plays classical violin and works out at her neighborhood CrossFit gym.

Council appoints new planning commissioners: Giselle Roohparvar and Carolyn Templeton to join seven-member panel (Palo Alto Online)

A land-use attorney and a retired Google manager won appointments this week to Palo Alto's influential Planning and Transportation Commission. Giselle Roohparvar, an attorney with the firm Miller Starr Regalia, easily won appointment to the commission, earning support from eight of the nine City Council members (only Councilman Greg Tanaka opted to vote for other candidates).
