Everyone knows that civil jury trials are more trouble than they're worth. They're expensive and time-consuming, and they sometimes lead to unanticipated results. Court administrators don't like them because they take up precious court time and resources. Big companies and their lawyers don't like them because they're expensive and unpredictable.
