Miller Starr Regalia (MSR), a preeminent California real estate law firm for more than 50 years, announced today that Yalda Vahdani joined the firm’s Walnut Creek office as a Senior Counsel in the firm’s Transactional Department.
Yalda’s experience includes commercial leasing, with an emphasis on retail leasing, as well as real property acquisition and disposition. In addition, she represents residential developers and home builders of master planned communities with land development, entitlement, permitting, environmental concerns, and due diligence reviews. Yalda also advises franchisors, both established and startup, in developing franchising programs and assists franchisees in negotiating franchise agreements and ongoing legal compliance.
“As we are seeing the real estate transactional sector continuing to increase deal activity, adding Yalda’s experience in handling and negotiating transactions across the country and abroad will deepen our bench,” said Kevin M. Corbett, co-chair of Miller Starr Regalia’s Transactional Department. “It’s a pivotal time as our communities return to pre-shutdown normalcy and we’re happy to have her on board.”
Yalda previously practiced corporate and commercial law in Kuwait for the largest international law firm in the Middle East. There, she advised Fortune 100 companies and large international clients on corporate structuring, agencies, distributorships and franchising, and negotiated and drafted the relevant transaction documents. She earned her J.D. from The University of The Pacific McGeorge School of Law, and two B.A.’s, one in Art History and the other in Middle Eastern Studies, from the University of California, Berkeley.
MSR’s Transactional Department assists clients involved in all aspects of the commercial real estate industry, including many of the world’s largest technology companies. The Transactional Department also assists developers; owners; tenants of commercial, office, retail, mixed-use, hospitality, warehouse, data center, industrial, and residential projects of all sizes; national and regional retailers; restaurant chains; banks and other financial institutions; and real estate management companies and entrepreneurs. The Transactional Department structures, negotiates, and documents complex transactions throughout the United States and overseas.
