U.S. News-Best Lawyers® – Miller Starr Regalia (MSR), a preeminent California real estate law firm for over 50 years, announced today that three of its key practice areas – commercial litigation, land use and zoning law and real estate law – have been recognized by U.S. News – Best Lawyers “Best Law Firms” with a Tier 1 ranking for the Oakland, CA metropolitan area. This is the fifth consecutive year these three practice areas have been honored.

MSR receives this designation less than one month after the publication of Miller & Starr, California Real Estate 4th, the 50th anniversary revised edition of the firm’s treatise on California real estate law researched and written by Miller Starr Regalia attorneys. THE BOOK is the most widely used and judicially referenced real estate treatise in California.

The U.S. News – Best Lawyers “Best Law Firms” rankings are based on a rigorous evaluation process that includes the collection of client and lawyer evaluations, peer review from leading attorneys in their field and review of additional information provided by law firms. Clients are asked to provide feedback on firm practice groups, addressing expertise, responsiveness, understanding of a business and its needs, cost-effectiveness, civility and whether they would refer another client to the firm. Lawyers voted on a number of issues including whether they would refer a matter to a firm and whether they consider a firm a worthy competitor.
