Miller Starr Regalia, a preeminent California real estate law firm for more than 60 years, announced today the addition of Vance Prescott to the firm’s Litigation Department. Prescott joins the firm’s Walnut Creek office as an associate, bringing experience from private practice and as a District Attorney.

Most recently, Prescott served as the Deputy District Attorney for the Office of the District Attorney of Contra Costa County, where he prosecuted violent and non-violent felony offenses, prosecuted twelve jury trials to verdict as the lead attorney and oversaw domestic violence cases. Previously, he was a litigation associate attorney at Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan, where he represented Fortune 500 companies on both sides of litigation in a variety of disputes, including real estate, landlord and tenant disputes, was well as intellectual property, breach of contract, mass torts, False Claims Act and fraud action matters.
Prescott earned his J.D. from Stanford Law School, and his B.A. in Political Science from The George Washington University. He served as a Certified Law Clerk for the Office of the District Attorney of Santa Clara County in San Jose.
