Miller Starr Regalia (MSR), a preeminent California real estate law firm for more than 50 years, announced today that Patrick Marette, who has more than a decade of experience in real estate transactions, is joining the firm’s Walnut Creek office as senior counsel in its Transactional Department.
Prior to joining MSR, Marette was an associate in the New York City office of Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton.
Marette’s practice focuses on M&A, leveraged finance, commercial leasing and real estate finance transactions, including negotiating terms of acquisition and financing agreements and representing tenants in negotiation of space and ground leases for office space and industrial properties.
“Patrick has valuable experience nationwide in real estate transactions, including securitized and unsecuritized financings, leasing and acquisitions, and real estate aspects of mergers and other corporate transactions,” said Ella K. Gower, MSR’s managing shareholder. “He is the third attorney this year to join our expanding Transactional Department.”
Marette received his J.D. from UCLA School of Law, Order of the Coif, and his B.A. from the University of California at San Diego Summa Cum Laude.
“Patrick’s experience handling transactions across the United States is a tremendous asset for a department such as ours that is often asked to structure and negotiate transactions and perform due diligence both in California and throughout the U.S. and abroad,” said Kevin M. Corbett, chair of Miller Starr Regalia’s Transactional Department.
MSR’s Transactional Department assists clients involved in all aspects of the commercial real estate industry, including many of the world’s largest technology companies. The Department also assists developers, owners and tenants of commercial, office, retail, mixed-use, hospitality, warehouse, data center, industrial, and residential projects of all sizes, national and regional retailers and restaurant chains, banks and other financial institutions, real estate management companies and entrepreneurs. The Department structures, negotiates and documents complex transactions throughout the United States and overseas.
